- The Advocacy Centre, Nelson - The Advocacy Centre is a non-profit, community-based organization which provides legal information, education and problem solving for low-income residents of the Central Kootenays.

Through the generous donations and commitment of local community members like you, we have built an endowment of over $425,000 during that time. - BC Hydro’s free Energy Conservation Assistance Program and Energy Savings Kit program - The Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP) will provide qualified low-income BC Hydro residential account holders with a home energy evaluation, the installation of energy saving products, and personalized energy efficiency advice. All of this is free of charge to the participant.
